Betty O

Words and Music by Tim Horrigan

I took a walk and I thought about Betty O Betty O
I saw her car boxes tied on top Geo Metro
Before she goes I’d like to see her,
But I’d be tongue tied and she wouldn’t let me down slow
Oh no, Betty O

She had a job pushing skin and ink
Cinder block ‘lectro shock
She used to waitress at the roller rink
On the clock, schoolhouse rock

And I can almost see the tire tracks by the house where she lived with Bobby so and so
Wa-oh Betty O
And she won’t be back again
